quite happy with napfa results, but still have 2.4 to go. have to get fitter. must train more. stamina getting super low. and must start revising schoolwork. grades arent getting much better. keep forgetting to pack my stuff in after unpacking them the night before. make mental note to bring homework/notes. and i missed some interesting talk by some athlete today, according to kj. reader's digest got quite some fun stuff.

'ipods disrupt pacemakers.

close encounters with ipods caused interference with cardiac pacemakers in 50 percent of patients, according to electromagnetic tests. when the ipods were held 5cm from patients' chests for 5-10 seconds, some pacemakers could misread heart function, and, in one case, the life preserving device temporarily stopped functioning.

the study of 83 people fitted with pacemakers was conducted by a secondary school student, jay thaker, with the help of university of michigan researchers. "although the typical pacemaker patient may not be an ipod user, they are often in close contact with grandchildren who are users," says thaker.'

something random for fun. and losing 10% of your body weight can cut the pain of osteoarthritis of the knee by half. but only if you are overweight and have osteoarthritis. if your knee hurts, train up your quadriceps (a.k.a. thigh muscles). also in the same issue. =)

reading is fun. sleepy time. bubbye.
