my dad went for lasik today! haha his 600-degree eyesight suddenly went to no-glasses eyesight. but he was like out of commission for several hours after that. i think he completed the op at 4 plus 5, but was out until 8. blind throughout. had to have help from my mum.
im super envious of those without specs larh. perfect eyesight's so cool. dont need to care about how dirty your specs become or worried that they might get broken somehow. contacts are fine, but quite troublesome, since need to take out every night and wear again the next morning.
and i dont even have proper vision in both eyes. really want to correct the super-bad eye, but seems like nothing can be done at this point of time. i think my mum booked some op in november. its to correct the squint and angle of the eyeball. purely cosmetic, and puts me out of commission for a month at least (no training, sports, anything that may involve contact with my eyes, accidental or intentional), so it kinda sucks. but at least it helps. REALLY helps. although i'll still be as ugly as i am now, maybe slightly better only. xD
really wanna go for lasik, but its like super ex. and i'll be out of action again for a month. (which means no exercise again. ><) but my mum says its cheaper now, and i should go cos the investment in lasik beats having to buy specs/contacts constantly over the years. pays off after about 5-7 years (since im accident-prone). see first la. anyway im still underaged for the op. need to be 18.
and im scared. they use laser to burn off and trim your lens. and before that they cut open your cornea to engage the op. o.O how on earth can people stand that? they do numb your eyes with some eyedrop first, but staring into some laser for several minutes? >< omg larh.
random: somehow, im feeling better and happier after i took another shower. wasting water = relaxation. oops. haha.
